On November 21, 2017, President Mohamed Lachemi received a delegation from Hangzhou Normal University (HNU), headed by Vice President Yongfu Chen. HNU is alma mater of Jack Ma, the founder and CEO of Alibaba, China. During their meeting, Dr. Lachemi and Dr. Chen agreed to make efforts to formalize a partnership between Ryerson University and HNU in the areas of student exchange and joint programming.
