Mission

The Canada-China Institute for Business & Development (CCIBD) at Ted Rogers School of Management, Ryerson University aims to build and advance understanding of China through research, innovative educational and training programs, and influential public events. The Institute will serve as a centre of excellence for education and knowledge dissemination of China, past and present day, to Canadian business, academics, policy makers, governments and other stakeholders looking to do business with China and/or to partner with Chinese Organizations.

History

CCIBD was founded in 2013 by a group of Ryerson faculty members led by Dr. Howard Lin and the Honorable David C. Dingwall. In Ontario, it is the only university-based institute/centre devoted exclusively to China.

Dr. Kenneth A. Grant

Dr. Kenneth A. Grant, BA, MBA, GDipMC, DBA, CMC, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Entrepreneurship & Strategy within the Ted Rogers School of Business Management. Prior to joining the department, he was the founding Director of the Ted Rogers School of Information Technology Management.

Dr. Shuguang Wang
Professor

Shuguang Wang received his B.Sc. in geography from Shandong Normal University in China. He earned his M.A. and Ph.D., both also in geography, from the University of Alberta, Canada. He is currently Professor of Geography at Ryerson University.
